Get Your Dream Job - July 23, 2024
The key to attracting success, a dream career planner, and more…
Happy Tuesday! 🎉 If you’re planning to make an impression this week, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve got a jam-packed newsletter on how to get noticed in the working world.
This week’s fuel and work wisdom:
TODAY’S TO DO 🚩
Create a digital portfolio. 📜 If you really want to showcase your skills, create an online portfolio that allows the hiring manager to easily see what you’re capable of. See more tips →
GETTING AHEAD 🚀
Pitching to your dream company — even if they’re not hiring
Do you have your heart set on a company but they aren’t hiring? Don’t fret! There’s still a way that you can get your foot in the door and get noticed. 👀
With our expert tips, you’ll be one step closer to grabbing your dream jobs by the arm. So, read and learn! 🔍
⭐ Stand out from the crowd. In order to make your presence known, you have to get personal in your application. Show what a huge fan of the company you are, and use your past experience to explain why you’d be such a good culture fit.
📜 Be specific. Explain which department you’d be able to excel in. Don’t just drone on about your love for the company. If you believe there’s a gap in the company that you could fill, be sure to list it. It may spark interest amongst the hiring team.
🛑 Pull out all the stops. If you really want to get noticed, you need to go above and beyond. Think: a short video résumé, a digital portfolio or previous samples to show that you really mean business.
📣 Become a brand advocate. And if you really want to impress the hiring manager, become a brand advocate on social media. Engage in their posts, share your thoughts with your audience, and do all you can to demonstrate that you’re a loyal follower of the brand’s ethos.

The key to attracting success (It’s not what you think)
“Success in your life is not something you pursue or attain,” says career coach Andrew LaCivita. “It’s something you attract.” 🧲
