  • Tailored benefits: The key to employee retention?

  • Failure ain’t final: Learn how to turn it into success.

  • Turn that slump into a success: Our favorite productivity gadgets!

TALKING POINT

Are tailored benefits the way forward?

We think so! Here’s why. Until recently, employee benefits referred to healthcare and pension plans. 🧘‍♂ Today, the term is broader and includes things like yoga classes and grocery vouchers.

By allowing employees to choose from a list of benefits, companies are doing their staff a big service. A working parent needs a summer camp benefit more than complementary gym pass. Someone with anxiety would trade paid lunches with mental health support any day… And on, and on.

With personalized benefits, human needs come to the forefront. Right where they should be, for an engaged, productive workforce!

What’s your take? We’d love to hear from you.

TODAY'S ADVICE

Embrace failure and turn it into success 🏆

failure-success

Whether we like it or not, we're going to fail at some point. If it's something small, you can brush it off. If it's something big, it takes a little more effort to reach a different outcome the next time around.

Failing itself isn’t a bad thing. It allows you to learn from your mistakes and do better next time. So, don’t beat yourself up — and don’t waste time feeling like you’re stupid.

Here are a few things you can do to turn a previous failure into future success.

1. Face it and accept it: Face the failure and accept that it’s happened. Once you’ve done this, you can forgive yourself and move on.

2. Take a break: Take a small break away from the project or task you failed to deliver. Taking a step back can show you the path you need to take to move forward.

3. Set goals: Once you’ve got a new destination, pick up where you left off and aim your enthusiasm at your goals. You can learn from your previous mistakes and adapt your work methods with your new goal in mind.

4. Track your achievements: Remember to track your achievements and reward yourself along the way. Each milestone you reach is one step closer to success, and one further away from failure — so celebrate that.
