OPINION
Goodbye, quiet quitting â Hello, rage applying
These days, people are refusing to work for a company that makes them feel undervalued. Gen Zers are leading the way by #RageApplying to jobs in a flurry â so they can quickly escape. Basically, theyâre done working in a toxic job, and theyâre looking for something better (and quickly!).
To me, this seems a little rash. You have a bad day, so you spend your afternoon applying to as many jobs as you can? I guess you could end up getting loads of job opportunities with better employee perks, though. So, you have to figure out whatâs right best for your career.

TODAY'S ADVICE
Work smarter, not harder (âHow?â, you ask)
Youâve probably heard this age-old adage a heap of times. And itâs good advice to follow. It means youâre more productive and you donât waste valuable time and energy.
How to make it happen:
1. End multitasking. Multitasking is a myth. Studies show that it causes us to make more mistakes (that we then have to spend more time correcting), and our brains retain less information, so we donât really process or understand what weâre doing.
2. Take more breaks. Working for too long tests your attention span. You become more distracted and less focused. But, by scheduling some more downtime into your workday, you'll improve your productivity.
3. Cut down your to-do list. Where you can, spread your workload evenly across the week or month. When you have a shorter to-do list for the day, youâll feel less overwhelmed and be more productive.
4. Learn how to say ânoâ. Or even âI'm busyâ. When you constantly say âyesâ to others, you put your own needs second. And this often results in a more intimidating workload for yourself.
5. Mute notifications. Facebook and Twitter notifications popping up every 2 seconds can be distracting, which means your work will suffer. Disable them or put your phone on âDo Not Disturbâ mode.

MONDAY'S TO DO
There are two facts:
1. Mondays are stressful.2. A positive attitude helps you better cope with stress.
đĄ Combining the two, we propose the following: challenge your inner dialogue. Thoughts like âI can't copeâ just make your workload look more intimidating.
So, notice what your brain says and swap unhelpful cues with kinder ones.
