The ideal work makeup for a natural glow.
TALKING POINT
The end of remote work is nigh!
When the world turned upside down, our workspace did too. Most of us had to go from working in an office space to working day in, day out from our dining room table, with the only face-to-face chats being with the pets/children/partner.
But now the world has (mostly) returned to normal, remote work opportunities are becoming rare. My question is: Why?
A study by GitLab found that 42 per cent of people they asked felt their productivity had increased working from home, and 82 per cent believe that remote work is the future.
On the other hand, 25 per cent said they are often distracted working from home, and 17 per cent feel lonely.
Is this why there’s a bigger push for hybrid-working roles? Reply and let us know what you think.

TODAY'S ADVICE
Résumé secrets that will provide real results
A single job vacancy receives about 250 applications. That’s a lot of competition. But how do you land your résumé at the top of the pile?
Well, these little résumé tricks will take you one step closer to the job of your dreams:
1. Include a headline. Think of it as a tagline to your personal brand. When done right, it creates interest in your application. Keep it short, focus on your achievements, and steer clear of clichés like “hardworking team player”.
2. Ditch the objective statement. It’s outdated and it makes everything about you: what you want and what your goals are. Instead, write a career summary that shows employers how you can contribute to their company’s success.
3. Use bullet points. Recruiters will thank you for making their reading experience smooth and easy! (They help readers quickly find the information they need.) Make sure to start bullet points with an action word like “orchestrated” and “spearheaded”.
4. Customize your résumé to the job. Why? Because employers will feel that you actually care about the job. How? Read the job description, make note of any important words and phrases, and naturally incorporate them into your résumé.
5. Use hard numbers. Anyone can say that they’ve increased their company’s revenue. But the rule is to show, not just tell. How much did you increase revenues by? Always back up your examples with numbers, like figures, dollar amounts and percentages.

SUCCESS STORY
From ex-squid-sit idea to successful startup
🐠 Does the world of entrepreneurship have you feeling like a fish out of water? I’m the same. Luckily, Gibran Huzaifah can teach us a thing or two!
A former fish farmer, Gibran found a real catch right under his nose. Observing how costly and time-consuming fish feeding can be, he decided to build a machine to do it for him.
His automatic feeder (which received record-breaking funding) can tell how hungry fish are by analyzing their movements. Then it releases the right amount of feed, eliminating waste.
Proposing a solution to a problem shared by many is a proven way to turn an idea into a business. Gibran also shares these tips:
1. Always be mindful of your expenses
2. Never work for nothing
3. Follow a customer-first approach
