THE BIG IDEA

Inside Airbnb’s breathtaking HQ

Airbnb HQ reel

From treehouses and cob houses to converted (and grounded) private jets, Airbnb helps people around the world find unique accommodation for their travels. How could this company, then, not operate on awe-worthy premises themselves? 🏛

The online marketplace’s HQ, located in San Francisco, saw inspiration being drawn from actual Airbnb listings for its interior design. This includes color patterns and materials from cities like Kyoto, Buenos Aires and Amsterdam.

In more detail, work spaces are divided into “neighborhoods”, each with its own meeting rooms and communal work areas. Additional spaces in the HQ include a boot camp space and a wellness center with a Japanese theme. ⛩

📝 MONDAY’S TO DO:

Stay hydrated 💧 Ideally, you should be drinking 3–4l of water a day. Coffee and tea will not cut it. (You might want to consider this little trick: add some zero-calorie flavoring to your water!)

TODAY’S ADVICE

Remedies for when you feel tired at work

Whether it’s due to the post-lunch slump or you had a bad night’s sleep, there are certain things you can do to combat tiredness at work — including:

  1. Take a walk. This will improve your blood circulation. 🚶

  2. Schedule breaks. Be sure to stand up and move around.

  3. Work on easy tasks first. More complex tasks require extended concentration. 🤔

  4. Talk to coworkers. This will help stimulate your brain.

  5. Do some stretches. You’ll find plenty of exercises you can do at your desk! 🙆
