Friday 23rd June Newsletter
2k / day babysitter, strange interview Qs, productivity level-up, and more…
Round of applause for Friday 👏 And we’re closing the week with:
Babysitting billionaires’ kids: The woman who makes $ 167 an hour.
Questionable interview questions: How to handle them.
From us to you: A handy productivity planner.
💡 QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction.” — Unknown
THE BIG IDEA
The babysitter making $ 2k (a day!)
Can you think of any (legitimate) way to make $ 167 an hour? Because it’s not impossible — and there’s a 34-year-old doing it.
When she’s not acting, Gloria Richards babysits for the ultra rich. More specifically, she accompanies billionaires’ children on trips around the globe, earning up to $ 167 an hour. Flights and accommodation covered, of course. And she gets to board private jets, yachts, Porsches… and attend kids’ parties where, in her own words, “iPads are party favors”.
Besides traveling, Richards spends her work hours coordinating the kids’ activities, planning for their social events and education. The 34-year-old says she can make enough in two months to not have to work the rest of the year. This makes sense: she can make up to $ 2k a day, working 12 to 15 hours.

TODAY’S ADVICE
Can they ask THAT? 🤯
Job interviews involve a set of standard questions (“Why should we hire you?”, “Why do you want to quit your current job?”, “What are your salary expectations?”, etc). But they also involve some logistical, culture-fit, behavioral and curveball questions.
And, sometimes, interviewers will ask some, well, questionable questions relating to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, and more. They might be “carefully put-together” or blunt as hell. 👿
But can they ask those questions? Well, nope. So, what can you do?
Be professional. Don’t make things worse.
Steer the conversation. Bring it back to your work experience and qualifications.
Politely decline to answer.
Alternatively, if you want to answer, provide a brief response.
Be direct. “May I ask how that is relevant to the job?” usually does the trick.
