💡 QUOTE OF THE DAY:All you need is the plan, the road map, and the courage to press on to your destination.” — Earl Nightingale, American author and radio host

THE BIG IDEA

Working at the car wash, yeah 🎵

car was disco gif

You might think the humble neighborhood car wash is a thing of the past, but you’d be wrong!

Just look at 24-year-old Hannah Ingram, who turned her experience as a real estate agent into a $ 5,450 per-month business with no credit and just $ 2,000 in savings. How’d she do it?

🧽 By buying an old car wash and working 20 minutes a day.

Ingram bought the car wash by just using the seller finance method. This way, she avoids owing any lenders by agreeing to pay the seller’s monthly installments in exchange for the property. In the case she fails to pay — which doesn’t seem likely in the near future — the property is reverted back to the seller.

So cue the Rose Royce, dim the lights and whip out the ole dusty disco ball, ’cause it seems working at the car wash — or at least owning one — can be a lucrative passive revenue stream.

TODAY’S ADVICE

Relocating for work – difficult maybe, but also rewarding

🦾 Digital nomadism is all the rage. And rightly so. In an age of digital innovation to the point of absurdism, it’s only fair that laborers use technology to their advantage in finding an optimal location to work from. Having an ideal work environment is an important part of quality of life, both at home and at work.

Finding a remote position can be the answer to a desire for a change in environment. But while relocating can be a life-changing experience, it can also be complicated. So if you’ve decided to take the first step and relocate, below are some dos and don’ts:

  1. Do your homework. Learn about the place. Engage with the local surroundings. If possible, try to visit at least once before you decide to move.

  2. Don’t just source info from tourism sites. Not every New Yorker has been to the top of the Empire State Building or seen a show on Broadway!

  3. Don’t needlessly self-isolate. Why move just to never experience a place?

  4. Do be patient. Moving from one city or state to another can be stressful, let alone moving to another country. Prepare yourself for what might seem like an endless cycle of paperwork.
