TALKING POINT
Can ChatGPT help you get hired? 🤖
ChatGPT has blown up in popularity over the recent months, and even jobseekers are using it to update their résumé and get themselves hired.
But besides AI helping you improve your résumé, it’s also a vital skill that many employers are seeking. They want you to know how to use the latest tools and be familiar with incorporating them within your daily tasks.
This might be easy for Gen Zers, but what about Millennials and Baby Boomers? How does AI tie into years of actual experience?
While it can be difficult to learn additional processes, it’s important to test the latest tools. That’s not to say that they’ll take over from your personal knowledge, but instead enhance what you already bring to the table.
So, how do you list ChatGPT as a skill on your résumé? You show how it helped you find a solution to a problem. Let’s say you’re a software developer. You can mention how the chatbot helped you write and debug code.

TODAY’S ADVICE
Make potential employers fall in ❤️ with you
Tired of being overlooked during your job search? Here are some easy tips to make yourself a more desirable candidate — and land an interview for your dream job.
1. Spruce up your social media. Employers often review candidates’ social media presence before hiring. So, make sure your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter pages are professional and reflective of the best version of yourself.
2. Take a course. Learning a new skill or language, or enrolling in a course shows that you’re dedicated to self-improvement. And that’s what hiring managers love.
3. Create a killer résumé. Your résumé is your first impression to potential employers. Make it stand out by using a clean, modern layout, and tailor it to the specific job you’re applying for.
4. Write a cover letter. Along with your résumé, a cover letter can make or break your chances of getting hired. Personalize it by addressing the hiring manager by name, and highlight your unique skills and accomplishments.
5. Network. Attend job fairs, seminars and conferences to meet like-minded professionals in your field or industry. This can help you build connections and gain valuable insights.
